Quick tip: render a Draft 480p before the final
Try several cheap low-resolution takes, then make the 1080p final only from the one you like.
Not sure which take will work? Render a cheap low-resolution draft first, then make the 1080p final only from the one you like.
How it works
- Render the shot as a draft. To redo a shot cheaply, use Regenerate → As draft.
- Drafts appear as Draft 480p in the shot's versions.
- On the draft you like, order the final. It renders the same shot at 1080p and shows up as Final from draft.
- One final per draft, within 7 days. After that the draft shows Draft expired and stays a regular 480p video.
Worth knowing
A draft plus its final costs more than going straight to 1080p. Drafts pay off when you expect to try several takes before one is right.
In the app
Where to find it
Projects → open a project → open a shot in the Shot Editor → its versions, or Regenerate → As draft.
