What is Discover

Discover replaces browser tab-hopping with a single, unified workspace to gather reference materials for your creative projects. Instead of managing dozens of open tabs, you can search across multiple media formats—including images, videos, web articles, products, music, companies, and people—and save your findings directly into curated reference folders.

Because Discover is fully integrated into the ProMediaFlow platform, any collection you build becomes a personal reference library. This library is automatically shared with your downstream creative workflows, including Brief, Treatment, Wardrobe, and Casting. Furthermore, platform AI assistants can access your saved collections to ensure the creative work they generate is automatically grounded in your personal style and taste.

Getting started

To open the app, click on the Discover option in your ProMediaFlow navigation menu.

From the main dashboard, you can perform several initial actions:

• Start a search: Enter any creative idea or search term into the universal search bar at the top of the screen.
• Run a recipe: Select one of the pre-built research pipelines to instantly compile a structured document.
• Review costs: Running advanced AI recipes consumes platform credits. The dashboard allows you to view estimated AI costs before you run a task, as well as actual spend after it completes.

Key capabilities

• Research recipes: Run one-click, multi-step AI pipelines that automatically search the web, analyze findings, and write a structured, synthesized brief for your project. These recipes chain search, synthesis, and critique into a single comprehensive document (such as content briefs, news digests, or visual moodboards) in under two minutes.
• Collections: Save any search result or web link into named, tagged folders that serve as the foundation for your moodboards, briefs, and creative references. Saving the same item twice is automatically handled so you never have to worry about creating duplicate files in your library.
• Multi-modal search: Search for images, videos, news, web pages, companies, people, products, and music from a single query. The app intelligently routes your search to the best available search engines, and you can manually swap the search engine whenever you need a different creative angle.
• Similar image search: Surface visually related references from across the web to enrich any creative brief with zero manual searching. Use this to identify styled locations, spot wardrobe pieces, discover related typography, and find matching logos.
• Reverse image lookup: Paste a direct, public image URL to find visually similar images from across the open web. This is perfect for "more like this" aesthetic and style discovery.
• Public feed: Browse public moodboards and competitor reference sets curated by other creators in the community to spot trending styles and find fresh inspiration.
• AI cost tracking: Monitor and estimate your AI credit spend per module and AI model both before and after running a research recipe so you always stay within your production budget.

How to use it

Searching and building a collection

1. Type your concept into the universal search bar at the top of the screen and choose the format you want to search (such as Images, Videos, or News).
2. Browse through the infinite-scroll results grid.
3. To save an item, open the save panel (on mobile devices, swipe up the bottom sheet) and select an existing collection or create a new one.
4. You can organize your collections by adding custom tags, setting a cover image, and arranging the order of saved items.

Running a Research Recipe

1. Navigate to the Recipes tab and choose a pre-built pipeline, such as:
   • Content brief: Compiles a comprehensive brief based on a reference link and topic.
   • Moodboard from a theme: Automatically gathers a visual reference set from a descriptive phrase.
   • News digest: Summarizes the latest news coverage on a specific topic.
2. Review the estimated AI credit spend displayed on the screen.
3. Click run. The process typically takes under two minutes to complete. You can watch the step-by-step progress timeline on your screen as it runs.
4. Once completed, your new research document is ready to read, edit, or share.

Sharing your findings

• Sharing a collection: You can set any collection to "Public" in its settings. Doing so shares it to the community's public feed, where other creators can browse it.
• Sharing a research document: Generate a short, secure web link for any completed brief or research document. If you want to restrict access later, you can revoke or rotate the sharing link at any time in the document's sharing settings, which instantly deactivates the old link and makes it unreachable.

Tips & notes

• Search limits: Standard searches return up to 100 results, while similar image reverse lookups are highly focused and return up to 50 visually related matches.
• Image URL requirement: When using the reverse image lookup, the link you paste must be a direct, publicly reachable web address of an image.
• Dedicated search sources: Dedicated search options for "People," "Companies," and "Products" currently utilize smart web-search shortcuts (marked with a "coming soon" label). "Music" searches currently utilize video-based search routes.
• Public feed moderation: The public feed displays 24 collections per page, each featuring a 4-item preview mosaic. The public feed does not use automated moderation; inappropriate or off-topic content is managed via a manual user-flag and take-down system.
• Recent updates: A recent platform update resolved an issue where updating a collection's details would accidentally reset your custom item arrangement (sort order) and metadata.
